Abstract submissions for the conference are now closed.
Applicants can expect to receive notification regarding their submission status by end-July 2026.
Late-breaking abstract submissions will be accepted from August 1 through August 15, 2026.
Late-Breaking Abstracts
Please note that this is not an extension of the general abstract submission deadline. Submitted abstracts that fail to meet the below mentioned criteria for late-breaking abstracts will be rejected.
Rules and Regulations for Late-Breaking Abstracts
- A late-breaking abstract needs to contain novel ground-breaking and/or practice changing data that were not yet known, or fully available, at the regular abstract submission deadline.
- Examples of suitable abstracts might include novel disease genes, proteins and biomarkers, new FTD pathomechanisms with therapeutic implications, and results of clinical trials with novel proof-of principle data.
- The data in the abstract must not be published (manuscript or abstract) prior to the ISFTD2026 Conference.
- Late-breaking abstracts will be evaluated by the Scientific Program Committee and are considered for oral presentation at the Hot Topic session.
- Embargo Policy: Late-breaking abstracts submitted to the ISFTD2026 will be made available to the public on the ISFTD2026 website on the day of presentation.

The Scientific Committee welcomes abstract submissions in the following categories:
- Behaviour / Psychiatry
- Biomarkers (including imaging, fluid, digital technology based)
- Care Management / Caregiver Perspectives
- Cognition / Language / Social Cognition
- Clinical Trials (including pharmacological, non-pharmacological trials, trial design)
- Epidemiology / Diversity (including ethnic, linguistic, cultural)
- Genetics (including disease genes, risk factors, genetic modifiers)
- Motor Neuron Disease / Movement Disorders
- Neuropathology
- Pathomechanisms / Model Systems / Molecular Biology
Early- and mid-career researchers are encouraged to submit an abstract for consideration for a travel stipend award. Submission of an abstract is required in order to be eligible. During the abstract submission process, applicants will have the option to opt in for consideration for the award. Eligible applicants will be reviewed based on abstract scores, and selected individuals will be contacted directly with additional information.
Please note that availability of travel stipend funding is dependent on the outcome of a pending grant application.
